Preschool Ministry

Sunday School:

Classes are available for all preschoolers. Join us Sunday mornings at 9:15 a.m.

Extended Session Program:

Here at Dotson Memorial Baptist Church it is our goal as a preschool ministry to provide a safe, warm and loving environment for your child where he or she can come to hear about Jesus' love for them. We want each child to leave feeling special and loved. Our preschool instructors want to work with the parents in helping to instill in each child a foundation for saving faith in Jesus Christ.

Our preschool staff is committed to you and your child and will do their best to assure that your child has a positive experience while in our care. We realize that your child's feelings about coming to God's house will be affected greatly by the experiences he or she will have. Excellence will remain our standard.

We will love your child and will support him or her in prayer as he or she grows both physically and spiritually. We are here to serve you and your family.

Preschool Music Ministry:

This ministry meets Sunday at 5:00 p.m. in the Sunday School Department. There are special-called practices in the summer (Choir Camp) combined with fun activities.

Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed (AWANA)

AWANA is an international, Bible-centered preschoolers, children's and youth ministry providing local churches with weekly clubs, programs and training for students. The AWANA goal is to reach kids, and their families, with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him. AWANA blends Bible teaching, scripture memorization, and tons of fun. AWANA meets in the CAC on Sunday evenings at 5:30 p.m.

Vacation Bible School (VBS):

In VBS we learn about God's Son, Jesus Christ, and learn to build a closer relationship with Him and respond to His love. Through Bible study, music, crafts, recreation, and missions, our hope is to lead children toward their accepting Christ when they reach the age of accountability.

Mission Friends

Mission Friends is the preschool missions organization of WMU. It's a place for preschoolers, birth through kindergarten to become aware of God's love, and learn that others need to hear about this good news! Preschoolers are involved in learning, praying, giving, and doing missions. Preschoolers learn of missions work in North America and throughout the world. Each month, preschoolers learn about a missionary in a different place.

With hands-on activities, sensory activities, Bible thoughts, cultural learning activities, mission stories, prayer, giving and helping others preschoolers learn about the importance of missions.

Mission Friends meet on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. in the Education Building.
